Dear Ernest, Here’s a thank you from the UK – for the #7 Square Technology club you made for me.I mailed it home last Fall and the weather has just relented here in England allowing us to play and I used it for the first time of the 9-hole course we play. On one hole, my drive was off to the left and the ball wound up well short, in the rough and with two full grown oak trees in-line between the ball and hole. I was able to hit the ball clear over both trees to land just off the green and level with the flag! Had to be my best shot ever! Well we are back in St. Pete on May 10th and I will need another #7 to use at Pinecrest. You promised to make me one, and I hope you will have time. Originally came here because I had hand me down clubs, but needed a putter. Every time I’ve been in, 3 times now, it’s only been Ernest; the owner. He’s an easy going, good guy. Not the cleanest, fanciest shop, but that’s okay because that’s not what I’m there for. I just started playing golf about a month ago and after using my 60 year old hand me down clubs a few weeks on the course and getting addicted, I decided to buy some new ones. Depending on your skill he may recommend lessons instead of clubs, but for me and my old clubs he suggest both. He wasn’t pushy at all with the sale, just told me a price and said let me know when you’re ready. I went to another shop who wanted to charge me $350 for a club fitting, before they even sold me any equipment. Ernest will let you swing for 20 minutes on the simulator as he gives you a free pointers and won’t even charge you, but at the same time is fitting you for clubs, free of charge. I spent less on 8 new clubs than I would have for just a fitting at the other place, with no clubs. As of now I’m giving 5 stars based on experience, as well as my friend who hasn’t bought clubs, but has taken lessons. I’m picking up my clubs tomorrow and will change the rating if I feel differently, but I don’t foresee that being the case. At least drop by here, you won’t be pressured into spending any money and you’ll pick up a few good pointers.
Ernie, My brother-in-law (Dan M.) and I stopped in your store about a month ago to check it out. You treated us like old friends! We had a great time trying out your clubs, talking golf and listening to your stories. We have been back many times, and it just gets better. We both love the clubs we purchased, and the adjustments you made to our old clubs, as well as the free swing analysis and game tips.
